2. Abuse Protocol Committee

The Abuse Protocol Committee must be able to act and efficiently. Therefore, it should not be too large. Ideally, it should be made up of six members and be as diversified as possible. In addition to the delegate and the deputy,It should include a canon lawyer (if possible), a civil lawyer and a psychologist or psychiatrist experienced in the treatment of those who have suffered sexual abuse, or a professional who has specialised in the treatment of persons who suffer from sexual abuse integration disorders. It should have a balance of men and women competent to deal with the complex issues involved in allegations of sexual abuse.

3. Procedures By The Abuse Protocol Committee.

It should be suggested to the complainant at first contact that they may like a written report containing times, dates, precise details of incident/s. to do this is usually Healing in itself, clarifies the memories, and it will be helpful to the committee. Assistance should be offered at this early stage.

If the complaint has not been received in written from, a factual account of the initial interview at which the complaint is received should be written by the interviewers as soon as possible after the interview. This report should then be shown to the complainant who will be asked to sign it as an accurate account of what the complainant is alleging.

New Zealand Has Not Followed The Path to Healing

For The Women

who alleged sexual abuse

by nuns and priest

It seems the protocol for the Path to Healing did not feature in the 2003 Nazareth House mediation held in ChristChurch New Zealand claimants attending that mediation formed this conscience opinion on the grounds the diocese Bishop was not represented by a delegated Ordained member of the ChristChurch Catholic diocese it seems a Catholic Canon Lawyer or delegated members of the Education,Health or Welfare Departments were not present as some of the women who alleged sexaul abuse in this Catholic Orphanage had expected those representatives to have been present.

The conscience opinion below is that of  individuals World wide

Nothing at all is done about nuns who allegedly sexually abused children
